Webinar | The stuffed, stoned, pickled and pinned saving our living planet

July 30, 2021 @ 2:00 pm

The Natural Science Collections Facility invites you to our value of collections webinar series. The first webinar will focus on Food Security and Agriculture, with presentations by our knowledgeable guests:

  • Chantelle Girgan, ARC-PHP
  • Erich van Wyk, SANBI
  • Riana Jacobs-Venter, ARC-PHP

The purpose of these webinars is for scientists to express the value of their work, show how collections contribute to major sectors like healthcare, agriculture etc., show how collections benefit society, show why government needs to fund collections, for the NSCF Community to be aware of the research that is happening in the network, and for scientists to see opportunities for collaborations.

The structure of the webinar will include three presentations by our guests, followed by a Q&A session.

Our guests published their work in the “Why our collections matter” showcase that is available on the NSCF website. Click here to view the showcase.
